About TransitScanner
TransitScanner compares what it costs to cross Europe by coach and by train. It asks the carriers what a journey costs today, puts the answers side by side, and sends you to whoever sells the ticket.
What it covers
Coaches from FlixBus and BlaBlaCar Bus, and trains from České dráhy, CP, Deutsche Bahn, DSB, Vy (Entur), Eurostar, Hellenic Train, Italo, PKP, MÁV, NS, ÖBB, OUIGO, Renfe, SBB, SJ, SNCB, SNCF, Trenitalia and VR.
How it works
Every search is a live query, ranked by price and departure time. A fare shown here is one a seller quoted, and the seller is named on the card; anything we could only estimate says so. TransitScanner sells no tickets, takes no commission and needs no account.
What it can do
- Coach and train results for a date, cheapest first
- A price calendar for the days around yours
- Everywhere: every destination from a city, sorted by price
- Round trips compared together
- Cheaper ways to make the same journey, such as two tickets on one train
- A notification when a fare you were watching drops
Open data
For French high-speed trains TransitScanner also shows the official fare range SNCF Voyageurs publishes as open data (Tarifs TGV INOUI et OUIGO, ODbL). It is labelled as an official range and used only where no real fare has been seen; it is not a quote for a day.
