The short version
There are no accounts here, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. We keep what the site needs to run and to be improved, and no more than that. Nothing is sold to anyone.
What stays on your device
Your language, dark mode, recent searches and favourites live in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
What our server records
Each search is written to a log so we can see which routes are used, spot the ones that come back broken, and keep the service fast. A log entry holds the cities, the dates, how many results came back, the language, whether the device was a phone, the country, and the IP address with its last part removed — 203.0.113.0 rather than the address itself. That is enough to tell one region from another and not enough to identify anyone.
Price alerts
If you ask to be told when a fare drops, your browser gives us a push endpoint — an address for that browser, with no name attached. We store it alongside the route, the date and the fare at the time, so we know what "cheaper" means. It stops being used once the travel date has passed, and withdrawing notification permission in your browser makes it unusable immediately.
Third parties your browser talks to
- Google Analytics — how many people visit and which pages they use. Without your consent it runs in Consent Mode with everything denied: no cookies are set and Google receives only anonymous, cookieless measurement signals. If you accept the cookie notice, analytics cookies are enabled. Google Ads measurement works the same way. Google sets cookies for this; see Google's privacy policy, and you can opt out at Google's opt-out page.
- Buy Me a Coffee — the support button, loaded from their site.
- flagcdn.com — country flags.
- OpenStreetMap and CARTO — the map tiles on the map view.
There is no advertising on this site and no advertising network is loaded.
Where the fares come from
Prices are fetched by our server from the carriers themselves — FlixBus, BlaBlaBus, Deutsche Bahn, ÖBB, SBB, Trenitalia, Renfe, OUIGO, PKP Intercity, Comboios de Portugal and Nederlandse Spoorwegen. Those requests carry the route and the date, never anything about you. Once you follow a booking link you are on the seller's own site, under their privacy policy.
Your rights
Since we hold no account and no name, there is usually nothing of yours to hand over or delete. If you believe we hold something that concerns you, write to [email protected] and we will look into it.
